Pet Care Leave
In collaboration with Australian vets, Mars Petcare has created a Pet Care Leave Certificate which can be provided by vets to pet owners, acting as evidence to receive a period of leave from work to care for an unwell pet.

Employers and businesses are encouraged to download the “Pet Care Leave Certificate” to help establish Pet Leave Care within their workplace. The link also includes a media pack to support creating awareness of the policy.
Veterinarians are encouraged to download the “Pet Care Leave Certificate” to share with clients or patients. The certificate is a great tool to encourage pet owners to request time off to care for their sick pets.
Pet owners are encouraged to download the “Pet Care Leave Certificate” to act as clinical evidence that their pet is unwell and requires at-home care. Please chat with your local vet to request their signature.
